Kanye Wearing A Crop Top?! Rumor!

This picture taken in 2010 had the internet buzzing in April. All rumors are cleared. It is NOT a crop top! I repeat.. NOT a crop top! It's actually a brown leather belt that is the same shade of brown as Ye's skin tone and not his stomach. Kanye is a man of many looks but he would never stoop that low.

Nicki Minaj rocks a sultry look on the April cover of Elle Magazine. We're not used to seeing Minaj so dressed down. Where did the bright pink lipstick and leopard tights go? And what about the flamboyant rainbow colored wigs and captain hats? We are in style shock.
However, we aren’t the only ones surprised at the neutral cover image. “When I saw myself with barely any makeup at, it was such a… like, I’m so, so attached to my pink lipstick, it’s hard. I felt naked,” Nicki told Elle about the dramatic make-under. “It was scary! So this photo shoot was a real accomplishment in my eyes.”
Photographed by Thomas Whiteside,  and styled by Joe Zee, the “Starships” singer flashes some cleavage on the April cover in a Tom Ford black leather jacket with bondage like strap sleeves. As for makeup, Minaj is rocking little to none and a “just got out of the shower” wet look for her hairstyle. Her sleek look continued in the mag with Minaj sporting modern looks like a Jeremy Scott for Adidas bathing suit, black Ferragamo leather trousers, and a bustier made of rope.
Minaj seems to be flying high -- topping music charts, judging “American Idol,” creating fembot looking perfumes, and now rocking a fresh face on the cover of Elle. What more can a girl ask for?
But life wasn’t always so sexy and fun for Nicki. Inside the magazine the rapper opens up about facing childhood bullies and catty girls that tried to bring her down. “I went through a lot of bullying early on,” she says. “Girls made my life a living hell. I’ve always put up this wall -- it was a self-defense mechanism growing up -- because I was almost expecting people to attack me. And I still have it. It’s sad.”
Now with all the drama and bullying behind her, Minaj is building her brand and ruling the world. “My goal in the beginning was to buy my mother a house,” she told the magazine.  “Now I realize, ‘Okay, if I really focus and become a key player in business, then I can build an empire.’ I’m thinking of a legacy that I can be proud of and wealth that my grandchildren can use to go to college. So world domination, in terms of providing for my family, is absolutely my goal.”
The April issue hits newsstands nationwide on March 26. What do you think of Nicki’s new subtle look?

Dior's Crystal Studded Lips for spring 2013 couture show

christian-dior-couture-2013-lips.jpg
Yesterday, at Dior's spring 2013 couture show, makeup artist Pat McGrath combined two themes she's been experimenting a lot with lately: textured makeup and layered lip looks, gluing red and pink Swarovski crystals on top of similar-colored lipsticks for bright, rosy pouts that dazzled all the way down the runway. It looked magical, pretty, and cutting-edge all at the same time.

However, you may want to skip the crystals for your next big date. You'd likely swallow a Swarovski stone the first time you tried to eat or drink anything, and kissing would be a challenge.

Check out these sparkle-and-shine lippies for a reasonable fascimile:
Mehron Paradise Glitter in Dynamite Red. This loose red glitter can go over any red or pink lipstick. The key to getting the flecks to stick is layering on clear gloss before pressing the glitter on with a cotton swab.
Ka'Ori Glitzsticks. Glitzsticks are a two-step system: a creamy lipstick and a pot of matching loose glitter you press on with a brush. They come in red and pink, as well as electric blue, silver, and even bright yellow.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Metallic Lip Tars. Not really into the taste of glitter? Try a metallic lipstick instead. Super NSFW is a gorgeous metallic red, while Yao! is a true metallic fuchsia.

Still want more? (God, you guys, you're killing me.) Try out layered lips without the choking hazard with the looks in "Pucker Punch," a lip story in our February issue in part inspired by McGrath's textured, multicolored looks. We show three different layered lip ideas and divulge the products you'll need to recreate the craziest runway effects we've seen this season, from dual-ended lipsticks and disco-ball glosses to loose glitters, neon pigments, and metallic foils.

Get the Look: Beyonce’s Inauguration Makeup

Beyonce
On one of the most unforgettable days in history, Beyonce bestowed upon us the National Anthem as President Barack Obama was inaugurated into his second term in office. Besides the wow-factor of the performance, we couldn’t help but notice the gorgeous makeup that Queen Bey chose to don for the occasion. We caught up with Beyonce’s makeup artist Mally Roncal for the scoop on how to get the look ourselves.
Start with Perfect Prep Poreless Primer all over the face and Cancellation Conditioning Concealer directly under the eyes to cover up any imperfections on the skin. For natural-looking coverage, apply Ultimate Performance Liquid Foundation and blend well. Next, sweep Diamond Unpowder across the face to highlight and finish with Effortless Airbrush Highlighter and Blush Duo to the cheeks for a soft, radiant glow.
Moving on to the eyes, start by applying Evercolor Shadow Stick in Saddle Shimmer all over the lid and underneath the eyes. Next, using the In the Buff Palette, choose a few shades to sweep over the eyelid. Taking the Age Rebel Shadow Stick in Chocolate Diamond, apply to the bottom lid just under your lashes, opening up the eye. In the inner corners of your eye, use Lightwand Eye Brightener to make eyes pop. For the bold eyeliner, use Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner in Midnight on the upper and lower lash lines layered with Ultimate Performance Ink Eyeliner. Finish the eyes with Instant Impact Mascara. All together, this look makes a to-die-for smokey eye.
For lips to complement the rest of the look, apply High Shine Lip Gloss in Mally’s Look. Finish the look with the orange nails everyone’s been buzzing about, NCLA’s I’m With the Band.
