Roksanda Ilincic Pops Up ! : The designer’s new store may not be complete, but that won’t stop us from shopping.

Fashion designer Roksanda Ilincic’s first store in London’s Mayfair neighborhood won’t be finished until early next year, but that hasn’t stopped her from utilizing the raw space. To coincide with Frieze Art Fair, she teamed up the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation to create a capsule collection of eight colorful, graphic dresses, inspired by the modernist painter and currently on display in her Mount Street windows. Presented as part of a neon, construction-site installation created by the wildly eccentric set designer Gary Card, the wearable works of art will be available on net-a-porter.

Dior's Crystal Studded Lips for spring 2013 couture show

christian-dior-couture-2013-lips.jpg
Yesterday, at Dior's spring 2013 couture show, makeup artist Pat McGrath combined two themes she's been experimenting a lot with lately: textured makeup and layered lip looks, gluing red and pink Swarovski crystals on top of similar-colored lipsticks for bright, rosy pouts that dazzled all the way down the runway. It looked magical, pretty, and cutting-edge all at the same time.

However, you may want to skip the crystals for your next big date. You'd likely swallow a Swarovski stone the first time you tried to eat or drink anything, and kissing would be a challenge.

Check out these sparkle-and-shine lippies for a reasonable fascimile:
Mehron Paradise Glitter in Dynamite Red. This loose red glitter can go over any red or pink lipstick. The key to getting the flecks to stick is layering on clear gloss before pressing the glitter on with a cotton swab.
Ka'Ori Glitzsticks. Glitzsticks are a two-step system: a creamy lipstick and a pot of matching loose glitter you press on with a brush. They come in red and pink, as well as electric blue, silver, and even bright yellow.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Metallic Lip Tars. Not really into the taste of glitter? Try a metallic lipstick instead. Super NSFW is a gorgeous metallic red, while Yao! is a true metallic fuchsia.

Still want more? (God, you guys, you're killing me.) Try out layered lips without the choking hazard with the looks in "Pucker Punch," a lip story in our February issue in part inspired by McGrath's textured, multicolored looks. We show three different layered lip ideas and divulge the products you'll need to recreate the craziest runway effects we've seen this season, from dual-ended lipsticks and disco-ball glosses to loose glitters, neon pigments, and metallic foils.

Behold Fashion Glory right at my door step!

Lovely Amy in my neighborhood of Fort Greene Brooklyn

/ Coat Tom Sohung / Bag Louis Vuitton/

One Bystander felt put to shame by the lack luster of his own wardrobe! Together he and I

declared Amy's look to be the bees knees!!! We agreed the hike in the front and the

structure of the coat was sickening, all design courtesy of New york based Tom Sohung.

Be sure to check him out for the last day of his Pop up Shop tomorrow at the Chelsea

Market!

Sohung Designs Amazing Wool Overdress at ID Pop Shop

Markets of New York City is proud to support the Independent Designer Pop Shop, or ID Pop Shop, in Chelsea Market!  One of my favorite designers, Tom Sohung of Sohung Designs, whose dress I wore to my book launch party last year, is participating in this treasure-filled market.  The photo is yours truly falling in love with his spectacular wool overdress.  It is asymmetrical, with a long cut-out sleeve on one side and a cape sleeve on the other.  It buttons up in the most flattering, unusual way, the epitome of style and design.  And it made me feel like a super rich 1 Percenter, only better because my finest wares are local and handmade.
The ID Pop Shop runs every day through November 27 and features 18 of New York’s fine emerging designers in fashion, jewelry, accessories, and bath and body products.  They’re giving away American Express Gift Cards every weekend, so follow ID Pop Shop on Facebook and win!

Barbie Gets Blond' !

It's here! Mattel teamed up with the fabulous designers The Blonds for their Fall 2012 Collectors Edition Barbie. Priced at $125 due to be shipped right in time for Christmas makes this Blond a one of a kind.

What a lot of people don't know is that this collector's Barbie is a pint-size version of Drag Queen Phillipe Blond who is 1/2 of the designer duo.

It doesn't come as a surprise to some that the Blond' duo teamed up with Barbie being as though they incorporated the Mattel darling in their MBFW show back in February 2011 for their "Ladies & Gentleman" collection.
