Markets of New York City is proud to support the Independent Designer Pop Shop, or ID Pop Shop, in Chelsea Market!  One of my favorite designers, Tom Sohung of Sohung Designs, whose dress I wore to my book launch party last year, is participating in this treasure-filled market.  The photo is yours truly falling in love with his spectacular wool overdress.  It is asymmetrical, with a long cut-out sleeve on one side and a cape sleeve on the other.  It buttons up in the most flattering, unusual way, the epitome of style and design.  And it made me feel like a super rich 1 Percenter, only better because my finest wares are local and handmade.

All Red Everything Rita Ora

Over in British singer Rita Ora wore all red everything as she hit up the red carpet of the MTV Europe Music Awards dressed in a dramatic red Marchesa gown.

Her time in that red gown was short-lived as she immediately changed into a red Emilio Pucci lace catsuit to open the show, and later appeared in the press room wearing a red Alexandre Vauthier pant suit.

Want A Weave That Doesn't Shed?

Please keep in mind shedding may occur with any wefted hair. Common reasons for shedding comes from wefts being cut for installation, as well as breakage from excessive brushing and combing through the hair.  If getting wefts sewn in, make sure you or your stylist installs your tracks properly. Avoid sewing through the wefts as it loosens the thread and causes shedding. 

The hair should be kept moisturized to minimize breakage. Use a good leave in conditioner and a light silicone based serum. For curly textures try using a curl activator or curl pudding. 

You can also seal your wefts with a sealant or fray block  prior to installation to preserve the longevity of the wefts.  I like HE 101 weft sealer because it comes in different hues to match your hair color, its fast drying and and it requires no additional curing time once applied. You can also try Aleene’s Stop Fraying or Junes Fray Block which can be found in your local craft store but these require 5 days to cure.

To apply the weft sealer or fray block you want to apply a thin layer of product to weft. Allow to dry. Turn weft over and apply a layer to the other side. Allow to dry completely prior to installation.

She instagrammed her funky footwear and attire for the night which consisted of a pair of Nicholas Kirkwood face-print loafers.   She paired the velvet and leather flats up with a Helmut Lang blazer, Rag & Bone leather panel pants and vintage Cazal 958 shades.

So the world might have just ended . . .I thought Dec. 21st was not for another 6 weeks. . .

For the new issue of V Magazine, star photographer Mario Testino produced a spread with singer Rihanna and top model Kate Moss. Lightly dressed, the two superstars pose in intimate positions for the lens of Testino. Look out for the shoot in the next issue of V Magazine for December 2012.

Amber Rose FAB New Hair & Gorgeous Baby Bump!!!

The pregnant model, who has been engaged to rapper Wiz Khalifa since March 1, recently dyed her icy blonde hair jet black. Rose shared the first picture of her makeover via Instagram Nov. 4.

Amber is expecting her first child with fiancé Wiz Khalifa, with the pair confirming their impending arrival at the MTV Video Music Awards back in September.
And despite revealing previously that she didn't want to reveal the sex of the baby, Amber recently seemed to let slip that the pair are having a boy when she thanked one of her friends for purchasing an all in one sleepsuit decorated with a picture of Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash for their baby.

 If your wondering which party her dark cherry stiletto nails aided her in voting for. . .

She joined instagram (@baddiebey) yesterday for the sole purpose of visually expressing her political preference via a screen print shirt that reads "TEXANS FOR OBAMA". 

Monday she posted a letter singing praises for Obama and his influence on her daughter and nephew. 


Meanwhile hubby Jay-Z hit the stage at an Ohio Rally for Obama performing "99 problems". Out of respect for the president, Jay substituted the word ‘b—-’ all throughout the song choosing instead to proclaim "I got 99 problems but Mitt aint one"
